En ti he aprendido mucho; He reido, he gozado,en ti he disfrutado.

iOh Biblioteca! Hermosa y valiente,

THE LIBRARY OF MY DREAMS

Library of my soul, you’re my inspiration,
You are who made me dream, beyond my imagination.

Who would think that you exist?
You are the library of my dreams.
In you I learn a lot.  I laugh. I rejoice in your enjoyment.

Oh Library! Beautiful and brave,
You welcome us into your home
regardless of social class, sex or religion.
We cherish your cloak in the know.

Your more than my friend.
What would we do today without you?
We could not enjoy a good life.
And to read a book is to go beyond
From what we dream and yearn…

POEMA A LA BIBLIOTECA.

Biblioteca has sido la unica

Que me atrae la mirada.

Porque cuando leo tus cuentos

Siento que mi mente descansa exilada.

Tan ligera, tan ligera,

Que a veces siento literatura

Me atrae con gran ternura

Y me brindas una vida placentera.

POEM TO THE LIBRARY.

Library  you have been the only,
What I like to look for.
Because when I read your stories,
I feel my mind rests peacefully.

So light, so light,
I sometimes feel literature
I’m drawn with great tenderness
And gives me a pleasant life.

MY PREVIOUS LIFE

When I was 6 I did not know what the Mobile Library was.  A white truck came to our school.  There was a blue box and in them came some new books.

They were very nice.  All my classmates grabbed two books each.  I could not borrow a book because I was in kindergarten. I could not read, but I remember my brother borrowed two books, and I remember he showed me the pictures in the books and they were very nice.

Time passed.  When I was nine years old my dreams were fulfilled.  I could borrow two books! And I still remember their names; one of them was called “THE FEAST OF POPE LUIS” I still remember it, I remember, was my favorite book, I liked long, the other book was called “BUTTERFLIES IN THE CARMEN STREET ” those were my two favorite books and I will never forget them.

When I was 11 years old, they took me to the library for the first time- in is very nice. I watched the other children drawing pictures and reading books. It is something I will never forget.
